Workspace settings¶
Roles and permissions¶
Every teammate you invite gets one of four roles:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and deleting the workspace |
| Admin | Manage channels, automations, and team members |
| Agent | Reply to and assign conversations |
| Viewer | Read-only access to conversations |
Agent permissions¶
An Agent can reply to, assign, and close conversations, but cannot change channel settings, add automations, or invite new teammates. Give someone Admin instead if they need to configure the workspace itself.
Admin access required
You need Owner or Admin access to change this setting. See roles and permissions for what each role can do.
Data retention and export¶
ACME Assist keeps conversation data for as long as your workspace stays active, and every workspace can export it on request, in line with GDPR.
| Data | Retention | Export format |
|---|---|---|
| Conversations | Until deleted | CSV, JSON |
| Automation logs | 90 days | JSON |
| Audit log | 1 year | CSV |
Turn on Auto-delete after 90 days to remove closed conversations once they age out, useful for workspaces with stricter GDPR retention limits.
Can I export data for a single channel only?
Not yet. Exports include every channel in the workspace; per-channel exports are on the roadmap.
Next steps¶
With roles set up, see Automations to connect ACME Assist to the rest of your tools.
